How do I communicate with my boyfriend?

My boyfriend and I have been dating for 6 months. During our relationship, I have struggled with communication. I don't know if he is the problem or me. I feel like I can't communicate with him properly.<br><br>For example, I want to express my feelings about something. I want him to listen first and give me a chance to get it all out of my chest and then respond. Instead, he interrupts me and he gets defensive about what I say. <br><br>I tried to explain my situation to him. "Hey, I just want to say that alot of the times, I complain about something and it makes me feel good. But when you respond, it makes me feel worse. I just want you to listen to me vent sometimes."<br><br>He would say after "fine, got it."<br><br>He would do the same thing over and over.<br><br>I feel like I don't know how to talk to him.
