What now?

My heart goes out to those who are hurting. Let’s drink and cry a little. <br><br>Now what? We are at a crossroads. Some of you will be happy and continue, some of you will be upset and angry. But we have to ask ourselves: what is next? <br><br>We have two options. Fight or flee. <br><br>And before I go any further, let me be clear, we must fight.<br><br>When I came here a long time ago, I came to learn from you. I came to learn. I came to vent. I came to rage. And I came to love and laugh.<br><br>You taught me so much. You have helped me find my voice. My rage. My sense of humor. My sarcasm. And my heart.<br><br>You helped me navigate and deal with the reality of what was happening. You helped me feel less alone. Less like it was all just a dream. Less like I was crazy and the only one left. <br><br>Now we are at a crossroads. But I tell you today, I am not leaving. I will not flee. I will not sit idly by while the world burns. I will not stay in my house and cry and hope that it goes away. And I will fight and I will rage. <br><br>So what’s now?<br><br>We don’t need to answer that question today. We will cry and scream and laugh and love. We will drink. We will cry. We will laugh some more. We will continue to rage and get mad and scream. <br><br>And when we’re ready, when we are done with all of that, we will come back here and figure it out. <br><br>So to my friends who are happy. Enjoy it. Celebrate. And enjoy the time while you have it.<br><br>And to my friends who are hurting. You are not alone. You are loved. And we will get through this together. <br><br>Like it or not, we have no choice. But I would not want to do it with anyone else. I love you. <br><br>So let’s rage. Let’s cry. Let’s scream. Let’s laugh. Let’s vent. Let’s drink. And let’s figure it out. <br><br>We will get through this, together. <br><br>I love you.<br><br>Now what?
