Why does the price gouging on ammo not get more attention in the media?

Over the last few years it seems the price gouging on ammo has only gotten worse. How is this not a major news story?

You can't find any Federal 9mm and if you do it's still $40-$50 per box. Service pistol caliber ammunition is not obscure, it's used by all kinds of people. Even police and military use it.

I don't care about the 'due to demand' excuse. I don't care that 'you can still get Tula if you look hard enough.' I don't care about the 'get a different caliber' excuse.

It's been years since the big ammo shortage, and the prices haven't budged, but still nothing from the media. Why is that?
