CMV: The only reason people don't like Jordan Peterson is because he has an opinion on everything and when asked for evidence of a statement will just point to his book

I just don't get what it is about Jordan Peterson. I've listened to him speak, and he has some good points to make. But he's just not a great speaker. He's really dry and monotone. It seems as though he doesn't even want to be there talking about his stuff.

He also doesn't have a very good way of articulating what it is he wants to say. He will start talking about something and then just go off on a completely different topic, never coming back to the subject he was originally talking about.

He will then say he's covered all the important topics, but then he will go on a 10 minute tangent about how you can't get rid of all of your stuff because that's just going to be the point when you can't remember anything. Or something along those lines.

When he's asked to back up his claims or give some sort of proof of what he's talking about, he just points to his book and says to read it, or says "it's common sense".

If you then go ahead and read his book, there's no actual evidence there either. There's just his own thoughts on the subject.

This is all well and good if you're just a regular Joe, but he's trying to be a professor at a university. You don't want to be a public figure with thousands of followers if you can't even be a decent professor, which is what he was hired to be.

I think that's why people hate him, because he has no clue what he's talking about, but he talks about everything. He doesn't give any evidence to back up his claims, and he doesn't even back up anything he says in his own books.
