Finally learned why men mostly die first after having a good marriage

I had a discussion with a few people at work (men and women) about relationships and then one of them was saying that he's going to die before his wife because he's had a "happy" marriage. I don't really get what he's trying to say... but I have to imagine there are some studies around why this is the case.
