It’s making it farther away because people are actually getting educated. They see how scary it is and they are more open to ideas of regulating it. <br><br>They see how GPT4 is way more pretend play than AGI but can be just as scary, and how language models and image models and speech synthesis all make the concept of AGI seem more likely to a wider set of people. <br><br>It’s making the AI takeover more likely because it will definitely be possible to manipulate more people through more means.
