CMV: I don't see why anyone would say that a black person using the N word is "cultural appropriation"

I was reading about how there is a growing trend of young people, mostly black, to post videos of themselves using the N word. Some black people are calling this cultural appropriation because it's a word that was made to demean them and they shouldn't want to use it. But I see it more as them reclaiming it and making it mean nothing. They're not using it like a word of hate or a racial slur, they're using it in the same way that white people do. I don't see why that's any different from white people using black culture like hairstyles, clothing, or music. And the argument that they are "taking something that is not theirs" doesn't apply because it was never theirs to begin with. It was made to demean them, so I don't see why they can't use it as well.
