Historically, the United States of America was the greatest country. It's based on freedom and democracy. <br><br>From the early 1800s to 1930s, the United states was a land of immigrants. The light of hope and freedom. Most Germans, Italians, Jews, and Irish came to the USA to escape their home countries for freedom, prosperity and safety. <br><br>During WW2, United States was the hero of democracy. It's the reason why we have the free world and Europe is not a fascist regime. <br><br>For decades, the United States was the economic powerhouse of the world. The dollar is used as the standard and reserve currency of the world. <br><br>When the cold war started, Soviets competed to United States on everything. Both Soviets and Americans had to innovate. They made concrete steps on science and technology. Space exploration. United States won the cold war. <br><br>After the cold war, the United States didn't need to innovate anymore. There's no competitor. United States was blindly optimistic that nothing will happen. China rose. <br><br>China was the last to industrialize and developed very recently. They used the USA's economy as a stepping stone. And now china is on par with USA. United States blindly thought that China wouldn't menace the world. China is a dictator regime. <br><br>Globalization happened. It was a plus for the USA to do business with the whole world. But it also meant that USA had to share the wealth with the rest of the world. PTSD war veteran who gets food stamps and works paycheck to paycheck at McDonald's have the same wealth as a Chinese billionaire. <br><br>So what is the point of USA now?
