Why do women want to “fix” broken men?

I’m a solidly mid 20s man, going for a bachelors degree, got a job, have friends, do gym work. I’m not saying I’m perfect, but I do my best and I work for everything.<br><br>I’ve been dating this woman for a couple of months, and recently I’ve found out that she’s been into “bad boys” in the past, you know, the type that treat her like garbage. She straight up told me she’s going to “fix” me, because I’ve had some rough times in the past like anyone else. Since she said that, I’ve been losing a lot of interest in her.<br><br>Why do women want these “fixer” guys? I’m not broke or a loser, I don’t do drugs, I care for her and she says she cares for me. But she wants to “fix” me. I’ve heard similar stories about women going after convicted felons, back when I thought that was bullshit. It’s not, that’s another story for another time.<br><br>What is it that drives them to want to fix these guys? I don’t get it.
