Trump's sheer incompetence regarding the pandemic is going to be the most significant issue for his campaign

First of all, I want to acknowledge the fact that the situation where we are right now is unprecedented in history. Some have compared this pandemic to the Spanish Flu of 1918 and while this pandemic is horrible, we have many tools in hand today that would have prevented those deaths in 1918. Furthermore, Trump's administration has been aware of the pandemic since mid-January. So, comparing it to 1918 is utter foolishness. Second of all, I want to point out that Trump's campaign has nothing to run on except a strong economy which is now on its way to a recession. He survived the Mueller investigation because of a weak Democratic House of Representatives and he survived the Ukraine scandal for the same reason. Democrats continue to lack the spine to remove this dictator-in-the-making. <br><br>- **The economy is going to be the biggest issue this election cycle.** Democrats need to start running on this issue. <br>- **Moderate Democrats are going to lose their seats.** This election cycle is a fare-well to many moderate Democrats going into the general election. <br>- **Trump's campaign needs to be attacked with unity**. Yes,Trump is a narcissistic baby that can't take insults, but he's most vulnerable when the Democratic party attacks his ego with unity. <br>- **The Trump campaign can only survive if they keep their base.** After squashing the primary opposition, the left needs all hands on deck.
