CMV: It’s completely unreasonable to expect someone to immediately apologize for a mistake after it’s been pointed out, especially if the person pointing it out is being petty.

This has happened to me so many times. I’ll post a video, for example, and then I’ll see a mistake in the video description. I’ll point it out and say “Oh, by the way, I noticed you have this mistake in the video description. You should probably fix it.” I’ll do it politely. Then I’ll see a comment where the OP (Original Poster) is still stubbornly defending it, still arguing against me, and still hasn’t apologized for it.

For example, I’ll post a video and say “This video is about X, Y, Z, and ABC. It’s a video about XYZ.” Someone points out that there’s an error. Then they’ll go on and on about how they said “ABC,” not “X, Y, Z, ABC.” They’ll go on about how they didn’t even mention ABC until the very end of the video, and how they should have said “XYZ” in that case, and how they’re still right. They’ll say stuff like “You’re splitting hairs.” “It’s just a small mistake.” “I could care less about a small mistake.” “I’m not even going to bother to fix it.” “It’s not that big of a deal.” “It doesn’t even matter.” “It’s so minor, I’m not even going to bother to correct it.”

It’s ridiculous. They’re being so petty about it. It’s so stupid and childish. I just don’t understand it.
