CMV: the best way to get more money from taxes is to reduce income tax rates across the board, not increase wealth taxes.

The reason I think this is because of the Laffer Curve. If the government raises taxes, then the amount of money collected from taxes will be less than if they lowered taxes. This is because increasing taxes reduces incentives for people to work, and they will find ways to get out of paying more taxes. I think a wealth tax would be the most tempting to avoid.<br><br>I would prefer that the government lowers taxes across the board, then cut programs like the welfare programs. I don't think there are any other options to balance a budget.
