It's interesting to note that in modern times, societies that do NOT prohibit incest are less likely to CONSTRUCT relationships that involve conflict between siblings (i.e., the societies that prohibit incest are the ones that construct a relationship that involves conflict between siblings).

It's interesting to note that many societies that do NOT prohibit incest are actually more likely to have a conflict between a father-in-law and a son-in-law than between siblings if you know what I mean...

Some examples of CONSTRUCTED relationships that involve conflict between siblings are the ones involving Cain and Abel, the ones involving Romulus and Remus, and some stories from Greek mythology. These are examples of CONSTRUCTED relationships that involve conflict between siblings in societies that prohibit incest, but these relationships are NOT universal. In other words, they are NOT observed in many societies that are either neutral towards incest or societies that encourage incest. And that is interesting.
