I just left the country and it was a nightmare.

I’m a USian, and I’m in Sweden for the next year to work on a degree in gender studies. <br><br>Arriving in Sweden was easy, and I’m so grateful to be gone right now. <br><br>I felt so nauseous and scared on the flight back, but I’m here. I’m in the North and I’m going to be in this country for a while. I am so grateful that I was able to leave. I was dreading the act of leaving for so many reasons.<br><br>I’m going to do a lot of reading, I’m going to bulk up on my self defense classes, I’m going to just be myself.<br><br>I’m not going to die anytime soon- I’m going to fight.<br><br>I’m not going to let them take away my rights. I’m not going to let my voice falter. I’m going to fight.<br><br>I won’t go into the specifics of how I’m going to fight, but rest assured that I am going to do the most that I can.<br><br>I think that a lot of people who are in groups that are vulnerable to the dumpster fire that the US is going into, are very scared. I’m scared. I’m scared, but I’m going to fight with all of my power.<br><br>If you are in a vulnerable group, you are not alone. If you are part of a vulnerable group, you are also not alone.<br><br>You are all so strong. You are all so important. Your voices are all valid and important. <br><br>I’m not sure what else to say, but I’m going to fight. I’m going to do everything I can, and I’m going to be free. I’m going to make sure that my voice is heard, as much as I can.<br><br>We’re not going to let the patriarchy limit us.<br><br>We’re not going to let the government decide how we can live within the constructs of our bodies.<br><br>We’re not going to let anyone define us.<br><br>We are going to fight.
