Why do you choose to be here?

I’m deep in this rabbit hole at the moment and I’m starting to question the purpose of it all, life in general, and my personal involvement with this sub and the pursuit of the singularity. <br><br>For the record, I’m not in this for the idea of infinite wealth, nor for the idea of gaining ultimate knowledge, nor for the idea of immortality. <br><br>I’m in this because from my second grade teacher, to my high school softball coach, to my childhood best friends, I’ve lost everyone that ever mattered to me to death. I’m in this to see a future where death is not a thing, where we can live free from pain and suffering, and where I can be reunited with all those I’ve lost. <br><br>That’s my why. Why are you here?
