My main argument is that in order for a wife to stay at home and take care of the children, the husband needs to have a high enough paying job to support his family, as well as having other assets that will provide income for them once they're gone. While a wife can work part-time, if the family needs health insurance, childcare for the kids, etc, then she needs to work full-time. This isn't even getting into the fact that the majority of jobs require more than a high school degree to be able to earn enough money. And, the idea of a stay-at-home father is even more unrealistic. So, this idea of a traditional family is unrealistic for the majority of people.
