What do you think about the development of arms?

What do you think about the current state arms manufacturers? Why do you think things have developed this way? Why do you think that new designs only happen through small companies? What do you think about the fact that the big manufacturers aren't really making "new" guns anymore. <br><br>For example, the 10mm was developed 40 years ago and the best guns made in this caliber are from companies that don't really exist, or didn't really exist 30 years ago. Companies like Glock, H&amp;K have strayed away from this development. The only true gun development as of late is the Desert Tech bullpup with included smartgun stuff and the FALx 7.62 bullpup.<br><br>This is why I think big companies want to stay big.
