I'm an internist and have been practicing medicine for a decade. It's never been so easy to see the dangers of drugs as it was in 2023. We used to do everything (literally, everything) to get patients to gain weight. It is now commonplace for me to see patients who have lost 30+ pounds in a couple of weeks.

I can empathize with wanting to lose weight quickly. But, at this point, I've seen so many people suffer from Ozempic that I just want to warn people.

I've lost count of my patients who have suffered cardiac arrest, strokes and heart attacks. (Not to mention the unintended weight loss caused by malnutrition).

If you want to lose weight, just eat a healthy diet, exercise and only drink water. Ozempic is not great...it is a terrible poison. Don't be fooled by the unintended side effects, they are intrinsic to how the drug works and Ozempic (Ozempic is a synthetic drug, not a hormone) is only legal as a medication for type 2 diabetes.

Edit: The only side effect shared by Ozempic and natural GLP-1 is diarrhea. It does not work like natural GLP-1 at all (longer half life, etc.). Also, even if you can't test for it (which you almost always can), why would you think your body can handle a drug that causes cardiac arrest in otherwise healthy people?
