I am a 14 year old girl, and I’m so confused about body hair- why do we have to shave?

I’ve been shaving my legs and armpits for 3 months now, and I still have questions. <br><br>Do guys shave as well? Like their balls and stuff?? I don’t get why we would have body hair if it’s so socially unacceptable. I’m not sure what my friends think about it, but I’m so self conscious about it. It feels like it’s a big deal in society and I don’t get enough information about it to feel comfortable.
