I want to share an horrible incident with you.

I know a girl from my hometown. She was a brahmin, and she was studying in a college. She was very pretty and rich. She had a big house and her family was owning a dairy farm and was also into construction.

She had a boyfriend from Muslim community, who was studying in the same college. They both fell in love and decided to get married. Girl's family strictly declined the marriage proposal, but she insisted to marry her boyfriend.

In the end, they both married on the court. Girl's parents were not happy and they refused to support her after the marriage.

For 6 months, she was very happy with her husband. But after 6 months, she fought with her husband due to some issues and she went to her home. She spoke to her parents and they agreed to their marriage. They then started living with her parents. Her parents and she were happy about that and she took a sigh of relief.

But the happiness was not for long. Her husband was angry at her for staying at her parent's home and he told that he does not want her family to interfere in their life. He said that he will bring her back to their home only if she will cut all contacts with her family and friends. This is what he did with her. He stopped her from going out, meeting her friends, using phone, wearing a saree , and several other things. He made her his slave. Everytime she will go to her parent's home, he would beat her black and blue. She was not even allowed to work. Gradually her attitude also turned into a Muslim. She was not even following Hindu dharma anymore. She was doing namaz 5 times a day.

Her parents were worried about her condition and they insisted her to leave her husband, but she did not listen. Her sister tried to tell her the reality of Islam, but she just ignored her. Everyday she was coming to her parent's home and telling them that her husband beat her, but she did not wanted to divorce her.

One day she fought with her husband and she came to her parent's home and told them that she wants a divorce. Her parents were very happy to hear that. They then took her to court and filed for divorce. But she was now 2 months pregnant. She did not wanted to give birth to the child and she was insisting for abortion. Then she spoke to her husband and her parents also spoke to her inlaws, but they did not agreed to abortion. They then told her that they will take the child to their home after he is born.

After 8 months, she gave birth to her child. Her husband and inlaws took the child with them after 7 days of birth and she is living with her parents since then. But this incident had spoiled her life completely. Her parents are sad because their daughter is not in her previous state anymore. She is not getting married because she is a divorcee and she has a child.

Edit:- I made some spelling mistakes in the post. Please ignore it.

Edit:- I want to clarify a few things-

1) Her sister was not persistent in telling about Islam because she was scared that it will hurt her sentiments and she will become more hardcore Muslim. It is indeed sister's fault, but do not blame her for everything.

2) She was not poor and neither was her husband. He was just doing this because he wanted to make her his slave. He was very rich and his father is a govt employee. There is no need to bring the topic of poverty.

3) This led her to depression and still she is suffering from severe depression and anxiety.

4) She is still not following Hindu dharma. She is neither a Hindu nor a Muslim. She is doing neither pooja nor namaz.

5) Going to a counselling is a good option but it is not that easy.

6) As I have mentioned in the post that she is not in her previous state anymore.

7) Do not compare her with Ramayan sita or any other heroine in epics.

8) Her parents are unhappy not because her marriage has failed, but because she has not remained the same.
