I was raped in a bathroom as a 6th grader. I would not know until I was 33. School knew. Police know. If you see that I am not in class. Please check on me. If you see that I am not making it home. Please ask why I am late. If you see that I am not coming to school why. My brother reported me missing. He went to the school and they sent him home with a note. He said he gave it to my mother. She never called school to ask about it. My brother was 13. He did not understand. I was raped. My grades went downhill. My mom did not know. I was not the same after. School never called to ask why I was not in school. I went from being in the middle to having to retake a class. I was homeless my senior year. I could not go to college because I was a drop out. I could not get help until I was 30. Now I am 33 and know what happened. If you see a kid in a bathroom for a long time check. If you see a kid who is getting in trouble after doing ok look into it. If you see a kid who goes from doing well to not wanting to come to school please say something. I would not be where I am if you had just checked on me. Now I am working a fast food job because I did not finish high school. Thank you to the school who did not know what I was going through in the 7th grade. Now I will be a high school drop out forever. Now I will never be able to work a job that is not minimum wage. Please look for a change in a child. Listen to them. Please stop ignoring us. You are supposed to be the people who are supposed to look after us at school. Please stop sending us into sex offenders. Please stop neglecting us. I hate teachers and school. I would never send a kid to school. I hope that they all rot. Please stop ignoring us.
