I got fired for being late all the time. My husband doesn’t care.

I am a great employee. I work hard, get stuff done, love my job, my work is pretty outstanding. I’ve been there almost ten years. <br><br>I have a terrible problem being on time. <br><br>I will be late to my own funeral.<br><br>So, they fired me. I was there almost ten years and they fired me for being chronically late. I’ve been late to everything my entire life. <br><br>My Point: my husband doesn’t care. <br><br>We have two kids. He works a good job. It’s hard. I’ve been home with them since they were born, but I worked remotely for the last years. <br><br>He is a great husband and provider. I know I’m not entitled to anything, but if I get a new job I will be expected to contribute to house hold expenses again. I’m in my 40s and the job market isn’t great. I know it will be hard. <br><br>I don’t know how to be on time all the time. <br><br>I love my husband and he is a good man. But it’s my career. It’s my problem. <br><br>I have to solve it.
