What’s with all the posts tanking thc potency

There’s been a couple of posts bringing up how potency isn’t as high as it used to be or how it’s leveling off in terms of percentages of thc. There have been a few studies tanking thc potency. Some even say that the potency is going down. About 9-10 years ago the dispensaries in CA had flowers that were around 17-18% by weight. Now it’s 30% and also all the dispensaries in California are in competition with the black market. It used to be such a bitch to get weed now it’s everywhere. About 25% of people in my area use weed. Fuck the government.
