You can work at ANY job with 100% confidence for the first few weeks until you figure everything out

The life pro tip is in the title. Whenever I first start working at a job as a server/bartender/line cook/whatever you can act as if you know 100% what you’re doing and you’ll never mess up. It’s too early for people to know you don’t know what you’re doing. You can just walk around like you own the place and some people will even think you’re a manager. This only lasts about 2-3 weeks and then you actually have to start acting like you know what you’re doing. Great confidence booster and makes the transition into a new job a lot easier.

EDIT: Another life pro tip: If you ever want to learn something new, sign up for classes a month or two in advance. You’ll have 100% confidence for 2 months that you’re in jujitsu/karate/weight training/whatever class... and when the time actually comes you’ll already be committed to going so you’ll have no choice but to go through with it.
