CMV: It's impossible to be a conservative person in the modern world

I'm not saying it's not possible to be conservative, but it's absolutely impossible to be a conservative person. Everyone that calls themselves conservative is only that to gain sympathy and power. I've never met one person in my entire life who is truly conservative. They're all either fascist, libertarian or a little bit of both.<br><br>The definition of conservative is to protect the existing structure and way of life. However, no one who claims to be a conservative wants to do that, they want to change everything, they just use the term to hide that fact. They want to bring back the 50s and 60s, but they don't want to protect the existing US government. They want to destroy it so they can bring back a government similar to the 50s and 60s. They're not even trying to hide it anymore.<br><br>It's just a term that people use to sound more attractive to people. If you are a fascist, use that term, don't hide it. You're not fooling anyone.
