My brother almost drowned at the beach last year. Because of me.

So what happened is that I (13F) went swimming in the sea with my little brother (8M) while our parents were in the beach house changing clothes. <br><br>My brother had a life jacket with him, and we swam pretty far out so we were out of the shallow water. <br><br>My brother got tired and asked me to wait for a while, and I did. We were floating in the water, when a man approached us while pretending to be tired. He grabbed my brother and tried to dive down and drag him under with him, but my brother's life jacket wouldn't let him. <br><br>At first I thought he was just trying to hold on to something while he caught his breath, but then I realised what he was trying to do. I got scared and started kicking and punching him and screaming. <br><br>This scared him so he left my brother and swam away. We swam back to the shore, and told our parents. They didn't see the man, and by the time they went looking for him he was gone. My dad stayed with us while my mom went to the beach house people to tell them, but they didn't find him either. <br><br>Since then, I've been afraid to go swimming in the ocean. <br><br>So, would-be kidnapper, lets not meet again.
