EDD didn't do anything about it so I got my unemployment back pay, but comes with a huge tax bill

I’ve been applying for unemployment benefits since March of this year. I finally get it in August, but they said I’m only eligible for July, so I wasn’t able to get anything for March to June. So I decided to go and file an appeal. And after 2 months of waiting, they tell me that I can get it backdated.

Now I’m getting around $10,000, but comes with a huge tax bill. I mean I’m not complaining, but the entire system is a joke. And I was also told not to spend it all and allocate some of it for income tax.

So with that said, I have a question. How much will the tax be on the $10k back pay? It’s considered income, so I’m going to assume it will be around 25%? So I need to save up around $2.5k for taxes.
