The AI singularity is a myth

The AI singularity is a myth. It's been exaggerated to make it otherworldly. But don't get me wrong, I believe AI will be a major revolution in tech, just not it's own thing outside of human interaction.

**Why I believe it is a myth:**

1. **The AI is not self-made.** Everything about AI has come from humans. The data, the programming, the required data and information. No AI has yet created its own AI.

2. **AI requires human interaction and intelligence and data.** AIs are only as good as the data required. If we don't update/update the data, eventually the AI wont work anymore. Humans not AI do the programming and update and improve the algorithms to make these AIs more efficient.

3. **The AI cannot do anything on its own.** In order to access the internet, it requires a human to use it. Also, it is a lack of understanding of how AIs work. They are algorithms, not magic. They are humans and use the same data.

4. **There is no singularity.** So far, these AIs are so inefficient that there's no way they will instantly improve themselves without a large amount of data and improvements. Also, it is a lack of understanding of how AIs work. They are algorithms, not magic. They are humans and use the same data. Also, the AI cannot do anything on its own. In order to access the internet, it requires a human to use it.

**Why I am not worried:**

A long time ago, there was a picture of a man working in a coal mine. But now, when you go to a coal mine, there are barely any people there. In the 1960s, most people were farmers, and a lot of time was wasted. But now, a lot of food is produced in bulk with little people. When the 70s came about, there was a lot of jobs in factories. But mostly everything is now automated, with little workers. Here's the thing. When we automated coal mines, agriculture and factories, what did we do? We moved to the next profession and got new jobs.

A lot of people write as if a robot can think for itself. It can't. It can and will do a lot of things better than us, as I said earlier. But it will not move of its own accord. It will not think on its own accord. It can only do what we as humans tell it to.

The AI singularity is a myth.
