But she’s also genuinely against Communism.<br><br>My mom used to say this sort of thing when I was a kid and she’d hear about conservatives doing horrible things. She’d like to pretend that conservatives were demons if not monsters who wanted everyone to suffer.<br><br>So, I asked this woman to imagine this sort of world where such communists existed.<br><br>Women genuinely against Communism.<br><br>People of color genuinely against Communism.<br><br>People with handicaps genuinely against Communism.<br><br>Gay people genuinely against Communism.<br><br>Trans people genuinely against Communism.<br><br>Immigrants genuinely against Communism.<br><br>Etc, etc, etc.<br><br>And, she was genuinely confused why this would be a problem. She had to be told why this might be a problem, in the way my mom used to say this sort of stuff about conservatives.<br><br>Because people on the Left are so overly fixated on the idea of evil conservatives, they don’t even realize that this is a thing. We have so many people who are genuinely against Communism, and yet we’re still told that we are the problem.<br><br>This is what I mean by the term ‘Leftist Privilege’. We need to recognize that this is a very real problem we need to address. <br><br>So many people, from all walks of life, who are genuinely against Communism.<br><br>&#x200B;
