CMV: the 2024 Republican primaries are going to be a complete and utter shitshow, and no matter who the nominee is, Trump will ultimately win the election

First off, I want to be clear: I don't think the election should be won or lost on the basis of personality, or who has the most "good tweets" or who can "tell the most jokes." I think that's what happened in 2016, and I'm pretty sure that's what will happen again. The only real question is how bad it will be.

Donald Trump will most likely win the nomination. It may not be a landslide, but he will win. There are too many people out there who will vote for him, no matter what he does or says.

The real issue is what happens in the general election. No one should have to run against Trump again, and if they do, no one should have to run against Trump again in 2028, and no one should have to run against Trump again in 2032, either.

So, if you're a Republican, it's time to vote for a person who will actually beat him, whether it's a traditional Republican candidate like DeSantis, or a Democrat, or a third party candidate, or whoever it takes. It's time to vote for anyone who is willing to run against him, and it's time to vote for anyone who is willing to do whatever it takes to win the election, even if that means voting against your own party, or voting against your own ideals.
