You wake up into complete silence, your questions are met with no response, and in the darkness you feel the presence of something in front of you. What is this place?

For the last few years, I’ve been putting this idea together, and I’m finally ready to talk about it. There’s still much for me to contemplate, and I hope the discussion will be an interesting one, but most importantly, I’m ready to share.

When you awaken, you’re met with complete silence. No noise. Nothing. You can only hear the sound of your own breathing, and your heart beating. You call out for help, but there’s no response. You’re met with nothing but silence.

You want to move, you want to stand up and get off the cold hard floor, but you can’t move at all. You can’t feel your arms or your legs. You can’t feel your entire body. All you can feel is your heart beating, and the air filling your lungs.

You can’t see anything either, for it’s dark and black. The only thing that you can make out is a presence in front of you, but you can’t see who or what it is, or how far away in front of you they are. All that you can tell is that it’s *something*.

You’re alone in an empty void, with no questions answered, and nothing to surround you but questions. This is where death leads you after leaving your mortal coil.

This place, is called **Purgatory**.

-

Welcome to **Purgatory**.

**Purgatory** is a heavenly realm outside of the mortal world that people’s souls are sent to as soon as they die. Here, each person is judged in an enormous trial, before the ruling God, and their fate is decided.

The rulers of **Purgatory** are known as the Council of Gods. There are ten Gods in total, and they are the ones that rule over people’s souls in **Purgatory**. When a soul is brought to **Purgatory** they are placed in their own individual holding room, where they await the opening of their trial. The room is always the same for every person, with no exceptions.

In the room, the person will be greeted by the Gods, and they will be informed of their situation. They will be told of the death of their mortal body, and they will be questions about their life. Each person will be judged in a similar fashion in an attempt to create a fair system, and provide an equal experience for all.

When people are judged, they are judged on their life’s worth. The Gods want to know what they accomplished during their time on Earth, and whether or not they were good people. Everyone is different, so there isn’t a strict criteria, but the Gods are guided by a set of rules that everyone is judged against.

There are many different places that a person can end up in after their trial depending on the outcome, and everyone is sent to the place that is most fitting for them in accordance with their life, and their worth.

-

These are just some of the basic details, but there is still much more that you don't know yet, and I will share them all with you through this thread.

In the comment section, feel free to ask me any questions that you have about this place, and I will answer in detail.

Thank you all.
