Fatherless Men and Women’s Day

If I see one more sycophantic post on social media today, from a single mom showering themselves in recognition for basically doing an average job at raising their kids, I’m going to fucking scream. But what I find more sickening is the absolute lack of recognition for the men who pick up the broken pieces of single parent families to give them a new chance to be included in a loving and nurturing environment.<br><br>I see countless posts from single mothers and sons/daughters praising mum for not giving up on them, for not abandoning them, for putting themselves in debt to provide for their kids when dad left. But no one ever talks about the evil stats that are perpetuated by women and their ability to ruin an innocent life.<br><br>Let’s look hard at these stats and try to make sense of them. I can’t because I’m not a narcissistic sociopath like the majority of single mothers out there.<br><br>28% of single mothers cannot afford to feed their children.<br>48% of single mothers cannot afford to house their children.<br>52% of single mothers receive no spousal support.<br>68% of single mothers receive no child support.<br>46% of single mothers receive no government assistance.<br>46% of single mothers work full-time jobs.<br>Only 12% of single mothers receive child support and government assistance.<br>1 in 4 single mothers live below the poverty line.<br><br>What does this mean? It means that 1 in 4 single mothers cannot afford to care for their children because of the decisions that they made, and yet still expect society to shower them in praise and sympathy. <br><br>I think it’s time we stopped being so considerate and sympathetic towards single mothers. I think it’s time we started to see them for what they really are - broken and selfish individuals who don’t deserve the kind of praise and admiration that they receive.
