CMV: It's wrong to deny children vaccines, and I will take my children to get vaccinated even if it goes against their religion

My aunt and her family are devout Catholics. I was visiting their place one time and she was telling us that the church is against vaccinations, and I was like, "huh? How is that even possible? Did the church not learn about germs?"

She then told me that Catholics are not allowed to get vaccines. She said it's because the church thinks that the vaccines contain aborted fetuses and therefore it's immoral to get vaccinated. She said that if we believe in God, we shouldn't be putting aborted fetuses in our bodies. I asked if there was any credible research about that and she said that she didn't care about that, the church says it's wrong and that's all we need to know. I tried to reason with her but she got really upset, so I dropped it.

I think it's absolutely wrong for any religion to teach people that vaccinations are immoral and that they shouldn't get their children vaccinated. How can they justify that? I'm pretty sure there's no credible research about aborted fetuses being in vaccines. I've looked it up and there's only one vaccine that was made using cell lines from abortions (the MMR vaccine), but it's made with a different cell line now. And I'm pretty sure the other vaccines don't have any aborted fetuses in them.

But even if it was true, how can the church justify teaching people to get their children to die of a preventable disease? If that's immoral, then what's less immoral? Not getting vaccinated and risking the lives of innocent children is immoral, period. And I'd like to add that this is a great example of how religion can harm people, and I wish the church would stop teaching this shit.
