Why are so many posts from "old" accounts?

I think there's a pattern of relatively new, "old account" posters spamming the same sorts of links. It's fairly obvious that there's a coordinated effort from an adjacent subreddit.<br><br>Is it a coordinated effort from that very same sub or something entirely separate? Who is behind this and what is their goal?<br><br>&#x200B;
