I just found out that my boyfriend got circumcised last week and I am really confused

To keep this short, I just found out that my boyfriend got circumcised sometime last week. I'm just wondering why on earth he would get circumcised without telling me first. We've been sexual partners for a little under 2 years. He's 30 and I'm 25 and we've never had any issues with his foreskin. We've been in a relationship for about 8 years. <br><br>I found out because I had to go to the post office to pick up a package yesterday (he was supposed to be the one to pick it up, but he didn't), and his mom called me from my phone (I use my boyfriend's old phone and his number) and was talking about her son being in pain because he got circumcised. I didn't want to claw my way out of my skin, so I just went along with the conversation and at the end of it I got a weird feeling. I confronted him about it earlier today and he told me that he got it done sometime last week. He said that he got it done to prevent cancer (he told me that the doctor "made it very clear" that uncircumcised penises are more likely to get cancer). <br><br>I just can't believe that he would do this without talking to me about it. He's obviously an adult and can do what he wants with his body, but it feels like he did something to our relationship without asking me. I got upset with him and told him that he should have talked to me about it before he did it.
