This is a 19 y/o solo female traveling alone. Any advice would be helpful in this crazy world of ours ?

My dad was diagnosed with Dementia 7 months ago, and since then I have been 3 different countries and 10 different states. Tomorrow I will be flying across country to my hometown to visit my dad. When I was 17 he put his hands around my throat, and I haven’t been to my home town since. Any advice would be helpful, thanks in advance.<br><br>Edit: I’m not flying. I’m driving.
