CMV: Racism is an invention of White Europeans and White Americans. Racism in other lands precedes White Europeans and White Americans.

I have found that blaming White people for racism, as if they invented it, is a form of racism. Racism really is everywhere and all races practice racism.<br><br>The **Ancient Egyptians** for example were incredibly bigoted, **hating Black people and anyone who didn't worship their gods**. Some historians have even claimed this to be racism, but have been met with skepticism. For whatever reason, the Egyptians' hatred of Nubians and other darker skinned peoples is not called racism.<br><br>The **Ancient Greeks** believed themselves to be the pinnacle of civilization. **They were bigoted towards all non-Greeks**, calling them barbarians. They **looked down on Black people**, including their fellow Greeks who happened to be of darker hue.<br><br>**Every single Chinese dynasty** has been incredibly bigoted towards other ethnicities, including Black people. The **Qin** and **Ming** dynasties were infamous for their eugenics programs to eliminate ethnic minorities and their efforts to abolish minority languages.<br><br>**Ancient Indians** practiced the **Varna** system. A blatant caste system in which they assigned people different castes at birth. They also invented the word for caste, and are the first civilization to practice a caste system that I know of. That's pretty damn racist.<br><br>The **Japanese** have a long history of bigotry, including **hatred of Christians** and **hatred of the Burakumin**, or "unclean" people. In feudal Japan, the Burakumin were assigned "unclean jobs" such as executioner or undertaker. **The Burakumin were often required to live in separate villages from other Japanese.**<br><br>To my knowledge, none of these civilizations or cultures were influenced by White Europeans or White Americans. To my knowledge, none of these civilizations or cultures were influenced by White Europeans or White Americans.<br><br>Therefore, it is my conclusion that racism did not begin with Whites, nor did Whites invent racism. Please change my view.
