CMV: Trump is an awful candidate because of the character he is, but he still has a right to run and get votes.

I think it is obvious to a lot of people that Trump is an awful candidate. He has demonstrated awful character in the way he speaks to others, and he is a huge supporter of white nationalism. There are a lot of reasons he is not qualified to be president and should not have the job. I think many people are justified in voting against him.<br><br>However, I do not think that just because someone is an awful candidate, they don't have a right to run for office and they shouldn't get votes. If a candidate is running for office and people don't like them, I believe people should vote against them, but they shouldn't try to stop them from running. For example, the electoral college is not doing anything to keep candidates off the ballot in states that are considered sure wins, but that doesn't mean it shouldn't be changed. Another example is the fact that the media won't let candidates from other parties get equal coverage, but that doesn't mean they should. <br><br>Trump's right to run should not be infringed upon just because of who he is as a candidate. It should be up to voters to decide whether or not they want him in office. He is not breaking any laws by running. The people have the right to decide who they want as president. <br><br>I feel that my view is justified, but I'd love to hear why people disagree.
