I’ve never been so scared in my life

I was 12 years old when this happened and it was only me and my mom in the house because my dad passed away when I was 11. My mom and dad had bought a house and we’ve been living in it for all my years we even moved in there when I was born so I’ve lived there for 12 years and nothing like this has happened to me before. My mom had just gotten new windows installed into our house and they were really expensive my mom and dad had saved up for this for years.<br><br>It was night time and we had just finished eating dinner. Me and my mom were in the living room watching t.v when we heard a crash from our kitchen we stopped watching the t.v and we looked at eachother my mom got up and went to check our kitchen I was still sitting on the couch when my mom screamed from the kitchen. I got up and ran to check what’s happening. When I had gotten into the kitchen I had seen a black man in a black hoodie and jeans standing in our kitchen he had a knife in his pocket and he was holding a crowbar. <br><br>Me and my mom were both really scared and had froze and couldn’t move or say anything I was literally shaking because I had never been in any situation like this before. Then my mom said “we don’t have any money”. The black man in the black hoodie said back to my mom “what do you mean you don’t have any money I know your husband is rich”. My mom replied back “he died last year”. <br><br>The black man in the black hoodie said “oh so he died”. He said it in a very weird way it’s like he wanted my dad to be alive. The black man in the black hoodie had then walked up to our fridge and he opened the fridge and looked in it he looked confused and said “where’s the money”. My mom said “there’s no money in the fridge”. <br><br>The black man in the black hoodie then closed the fridge and then walked towards my mom and I he looked really angry he was literally shaking and his eyes were red. He then looked at my mom and said “I’ll kill you and your daughter if you don’t tell me where the money is”. My mom was still frozen and she couldn’t say anything. <br><br>The black man in the black hoodie then looked at me and walked up to me he said “I’ll kill you first”. The black man in the black hoodie then grabbed me and had put the crowbar to my neck I was literally crying and I was begging him to not kill me. Then my mom finally said “there’s no money”. <br><br>The black man in the black hoodie was still holding me hostage and he said back to my mom “shut up bitch if you lie I’ll kill your daughter”. The black man in the black hoodie then walked out our back door while he was still holding me hostage then he threw me to the ground and ran across the road into the woods. <br><br>Me and my mom were both really shaken we couldn’t believe that this had just happened. We were sitting in our kitchen for a while trying to process what had just happened. I don’t think we’ll ever forget what happened I still have fear every night thinking about it.
