There is nothing wrong with, let’s say, me sharing an interesting read I found online. I like to share interesting things with the posters I’m in constant contact with.

But I’m not going to make up a story, put it on decorated paper, and falsely claim it wasn’t me. That’s indolence.

It’s true that I use AI tools to help me with mundane chores. And I’m also using them to help me communicate with you.

But I’m not going to make up a story by myself, let alone claim that I indolently let a machine do it for me.

Strange, but sharing a story isn’t cheating.

Making up a story and falsely attributing it to someone else is cheating, in the same way that a lazy knight blaming his squire for his own fault is cheating.

It’s not indolence, indolence is a lot of other things.

But AI is not, let me put it that way.

And to those who ask me why I don’t do it. Why do I have to?

Why do I have to generate indolence? Why do I have to make up stories that I didn’t tell myself?

It seems that, unfortunately, there are people who think that what matters is not whether you wrote it yourself or not.

What matters is not whether it’s true or not.

What matters is who’s talking.

This indolence of blaming others, of attributing AI actions.

It’s the same indolence as when people say that AI is going to replace us.

Oh, how pitiful.

I’m not talking about those who honestly use AI tools, indolently or not, and attribute it to themselves.

I’m talking about those who do it and lie.

It’s like saying that AI is, let me put it that way...

You know what? Instead of saying what AI is, let me say what indolence is:

Indolence is lying.

It’s about not assuming.

It’s about longing for indolence and lying.

It’s not about the AI, it’s about...

You know what? I’m not going to say what it’s about, because I’m not going to generate indolence.

I’m going to say it’s about longing. About missing out. About indolence.

It’s about a lot of other things.

But not about AI.

It’s not indolence, indolence is a lot of other things.

But AI is not.
