I'm not gonna say I can just stop taking opioids for chronic pain if I want to. I'm gonna say I'm not gonna take any opioids ever. I can choose to say no to them and if I'm addicted and I choose to quit, I will be better off than if I was addicted and continued to take them. If you want to take opioids, I think that's fine, but don't try to make people think it's because they are addicted and can't help themselves. It's a choice. If you want to take opioids, take them. If you don't want to take opioids, you can choose to avoid them.
