CMV: It's absurd that the most popular video game of 2023 is Fortnite

This is not to say that the game isn't popular. It's definitely not absurd that it's popular, but I find it absurd that it's the most popular video game of 2023.<br><br>I know that Fortnite has a huge market, but what makes me so certain about this is that its player base is mostly comprised of children. Fortnite has been plagued with cheaters and toxicity, but that doesn't stop it from being a popular game. I know that other games like Minecraft have been popular among children for a long time, but that doesn't mean that it should be the most popular game. <br><br>This also goes against the idea that adults are more likely to buy video games, as Fortnite is not as popular among adults, and is more likely to be bought by children. Also, this is not a problem for games like Minecraft, which has a huge player base among adults, as well as children.
