Is there any point of offering puja in temples if pujaris are selling prasad at 10x the cost?

There used to be times when prasad was offered from all temples free of cost. I have personally experienced this when I was a kid. You just do the parikarma of temple and enter from the back and you can get a full thali of khichdi, kadi, pudding, and fruits. <br><br>Why does temples charge for prasad at all? Or why does it charge so much? I went to one temple in the himalayas, and they were selling prasad for 150 rs per packet of 4 pieces of halwa. <br><br>This whole temple business is just that. A business. All the money that was collected stays with the pujari. No such temples donate money to poor hindus or public. This money is either stolen by priests in their homes, or invested. I'm not sure what "investment" you can make with money if the temple is already doing well.
