I've always thought it was a little silly how a lot of the salted chips are marketed as the "original" or "classic" flavor. There are so many varieties of chips with all sorts of crazy flavors that you can find a flavor you like, and I think the fact that people can find a flavor that's even better than salted chips is one of the main reasons salted chips have fallen out of popularity so much. If you got rid of all the salted chips, people would be forced to switch to salted chips.<br><br>I think a lot of the reason for this is the way that our brains work. Once you get used to having a lot of variety in your life, you'll start to think that having a lot of variety is normal. And then when something is taken away, it will seem like a hardship and it will make the thing that was taken away more appealing.
