My (28f) boyfriend (31m) didn’t tell me he was going on a date. But I found out from his cousin.

My boyfriend and I have been dating for one year. We have discussed moving in together and talked about getting married as soon as he buys a new house. He said he has to find a house we both like, so we could live there together. We have been to a few open houses, and we both like them, so we’re in the process of buying a house. <br><br>He also told me he was feeling unwell. He said his ankle was hurting him, and his heart felt weak, so he wanted to go see a doctor. He said he also had to get his hair cut, so I thought he was just busy running errands. He didn’t answer my calls, so I called his cousin to see if he’s okay, and if he’d gone to see a doctor. <br><br>That’s when his cousin told me that the girl from work asked him out to dinner, and he went. His cousin said he didn’t know whether I knew, and he didn’t want to hurt me, but he thought I should know. <br><br>I don’t understand why my boyfriend went on a date and didn’t tell me. I feel hurt that the date was with a coworker. They clearly spend a lot of time together, and I know they get along, so it hurts even more. I feel betrayed and humiliated, but I also feel stupid for not seeing this coming. <br><br>I confronted my boyfriend and told him I heard he went on a date with his coworker. He said it wasn’t a date; it was just two friends hanging out, and that he didn’t tell me because he didn’t want to hurt my feelings. He said he was sick, but he felt better after seeing the doctor, and he didn’t want my feelings to get hurt if I found out he went to hang with his friend. <br><br>I told him hanging out and eating with his coworker/friend felt like a date to me, and I didn’t want to be in a relationship with someone who didn’t want me. He cried and said he loves me more than anything and wants to marry me. I still feel humiliated, and I don’t know whether I should leave him or not. I love him but also feel like I can’t trust him.
