Why do I never see Ambulances outside the ER?

I see Police cars and Fire trucks outside the ERs but why not ambulances? They obviously drop people off there but why do they never stay? <br><br>Edit: I never see them parked outside the actual ER entrance. They’re always already in the hospital. When an ambulance drops someone off do the paramedics just park it and go home?
