Theampphire Kingdom

Theampire kingdom is located in the northernmost part of the world of Tenebrous. It's comprised of several islands and some of the mainland, but it's an icy cold place either way. Theampires are the ruling class, and they're the protectors of the land and the people. They're the oni!s favorite people. The oni is a mysterious, magical being that can be seen as the protector of life. But theampires are hard to kill, so they're not in danger of their unending life. There's no idea how old they are, since they appear to be eighteen years old, and any attempt to guess has been met with anger in the past.<br><br>Theampires have powerful magic that can be used for good or evil. While they're a little more resilient, they can be killed. However, their bodies turn into dust on death, leaving no remains other than their hearts, which are precious and highly valued.<br><br>The kingdom is ruled by a council of the five most powerful theampire elders. They are known for their fairness on most matters. However, they're very strict on magic use. Magic is restricted, and only a select few are allowed to use it. Those with permission are watched closely, and abuse of magic is dealt with swiftly.<br><br>The oni is a mysterious figure who is believed to reside within the kingdom's icy mountains. This being, rumored to be powerful and magical, has been the subject of numerous stories and legends. Some believe the oni has the power to control the elements, while others think it might be a spirit or deity. However, there is no concrete evidence to support these claims, and the truth about the oni remains unknown. It is known that they are the oni!s chosen people, but that sends fear into others.<br><br><br>The theampires have a law that sends all non theampires to the mainland. However, there's rumors of theamps turning non theampires into their kind when they're just born. When confronted, theouncil denied this until one day a woman just exploded into dust. Leaving a baby behind. It was discovered that it was a theampire baby, and that they really were turning people into their kind. Panic set in, and many fled. The relations with the mainland and theampires detoriated until the non theampire theampires were safe, and the law was reinforced.
