CMV: I think that people who are in favour of 4th/6th form being a mandatory year should just have had a good experience with them.

I (15M) am currently in my second year of 6th form, and I love it. It's a great time to think about what I want to do, make new friends and I feel like I'm getting a great education, but I have noticed that many of the people I know are in favour of making it compulsory.

I've seen this as an argument from many people on Chambers, and in my history class. It's often argued that it gives people a better idea of what to do with their future, and it's also seen as a good way to help people learn new things. But I feel like this is mostly from people who have had a good time in these years.

I know that many people hate college/university, and they didn't have a good experience. But they seem to argue that it should be mandatory anyway. I think this is mostly from a privileged viewpoint, because it's from people who have had a good experience. They say they wish they could go back, or that they wish they didn't have to do it, and I think this is unfair.

If you think it should be mandatory, I'd love to hear your reasoning.
