My ex-boyfriend came into my house while I was sleeping last night

So I was sleeping in my room when I heard a noise that woke me up. Initially thought it was my mom but I instantly remembered she went out of town so I immediately knew something was wrong. I can’t describe the feeling when I heard my door creak open and saw my ex-boyfriend standing there grinning. All I remember was a adrenaline rushing through me and instantly jumping out of bed and going to the main bedroom. Thankfully my dad was awake and instantly saw something was wrong and called the police. As we waited in the garage for them to come he went back to my room and found my ex was gone. Not sure how he got in but thankfully he’s gone and my dad filed a restraining order. The feeling of violation and lack of safety I felt in that moment and even now is something I don’t want anyone else to go through. Let’s not meet again.<br><br>EDIT: Holy shit, this blew up.
