It's OK if we can't find a "cure for cancer." It's far too complex and we should stop calling it just one disease.

There is no "cure for cancer." There are just treatments that may prolong your life. I honestly think we should just make chemo legal to use preventively. Cancer is so vaguely defined these days, because heart disease and certain other diseases could also be classified as cancer. There are tons of ways to get cancer and even if you don't have a history of it in your family, you can still get it. At this point, it's more of just a lottery based on whether or not you get a certain mutation that may or may not lead to cancer. Even if we find treatment for one form of cancer, a new one pops up and we have to start all over again. The idea of just one "cure for cancer" is something like the Philosopher's Stone at this point.
